Ware River, Virginia 1976

I was on the Classic Moth Boat web site today and I thought I'd send you a picture. The attached JPEG file is me, sailing my Poacher in the International Moth World Championships held in Ware River, Virginia in July of 1976. I used to race in the SJYRA Moth Regattas again Nancy Patterson (now Tidy) and the other sailors in Sea isle City, Avalon, Brigantine, Stone Harbor, Ocean City, etc. I sailed out of the Cooper River Yacht Club and the Mirror Lake Yacht Club.

I left the Moth Class for the Laser (I know, BOO!) but stopped sailing the Laser in about 1982. I was feeling nostalgic looking through some old photos in the past couple of weeks and came across the one I attached. If you'd like to use the photo on the Moth web site please feel free!
