2000 Portsmouth BC Regatta Report
Hi Greg:
Here's some info re: the Portsmouth BC regatta last Saturday:
Seven boats attended. Mark Saunders (Mistral), Joe Bousquet (Mistral), Walt Collins (Collins-Mistral), George Bailey (Bailey modified Sprite), me (Shelley), Susan Bousquet (Shelley), Greg Duncan (Duncan). Chamber of Commerce weather prevailed. We had 3 races back to back and then broke for lunch. Storm clouds precluded any further racing. Races 1 and 2 were two lap triangles featuring light to moderate breeze. The last race was reduced to 1 lap (wind was about the same; I think the RC must have been running low on beer). The finishing order was the same as above. The top Moth Boats could reel in the Buccaneers which started 5 minutes ahead. Moth Boats were the largest fleet present. I don't know if George B. took any photos--I asked him to at one point while he was leading me, but he wouldn't!
So, have you tried sailing your Causey-Sprite yet? If so, are there any compromising photos?!
