The Sea Island Yacht Club is holding its annual Spring Regatta on Sat. May 24th at Rockville, SC, 20 miles south of Charleston. Registration is $10 for single handed boats. Skippers Meeting at 11:00, first race at 11:30 with races 2 and 3 to follow. Sometimes – depending on weather, tides, and condition of the sailors (physical and sobriety), we vote to have a 4th and 5th race, particularly if the scores are tight. Usually the regatta is Sea Island One scows (local fleet), Moths (5-10), and Sunfish.
